July Training Sessions

July represents the 2nd month of a 4-month phase known as the “peak” phase.

Training Proportions Jun SepJune is often used as an introduction to speed work and can prove to be a shock to the system as our bodies adjust to the increased intensity work.

However, by the end of this month, you should really start to feel the differences in speed and improved recovery.

This month includes:

  • 6x speed sessions (distances between 100m-800m)
  • 5x endurance sessions to make sure we can still cover the distance!
  • 1x strength session to help keep injuries at bay and maintain core stability and balance
