What’s in this month’s program.

This is such an exciting month with the entire race season on our doorsteps! We can be positive about the better weather conditions and really begin to look forward to the season ahead. And if you’re really going for early doors, maybe this month even represents your first race of the season or first race ever! Wrap up warm and good luck!

Training Proportions April

The trend continues with slightly more emphasis placed on higher intensity work (with personal-best busting in mind) and a slight reduction in training time allocated to endurance as we need to make some room for race-specific elements such as transition and ‘brick’ training.

We’ve upped the number of ‘brick’ and transition training to 2 sessions each to reflect the time of year.

And we’ve added two new features:

  • A scale of perceived exertion now indicated as a percentage. This will run alongside the Borg Scale of Perceived Exertion. So you now have two options.
  • PDF versions of all the training sessions. Handy to print off and take to your training venues.
